New fave adhd object: a wristwatch.

Cannot emphasise enough how life changing it is to know at a glance what the time is, how much time has elapsed, and have all of this information without learning if a group chat is popping off
@stavvers switched to mechanical watch exactly to drop cortisol levels.
-
@multiplex it's genuinely such a de-stressor, £100 well spent
-
@stavvers (it's neat to see times such as 8:08, if i'm awake by then, or 13:12 though)
@ozzelot 13:37 is one which the always delights the Terminally Online millennial in me

New fave adhd object: a wristwatch. Just a little miraculous doohicky that tells me what the time is without telling me I have a ton of texts and emails to look at. 10/10 would recommend.
@stavvers
repping an a700 has been a godsend for looking subtle but clean -
@stavvers @adhdeanasl this you

@stavvers Wristwatches without added internet functionalities are the bees knees! anyone who doesn't have touch issues or anxiety should have one (neither my anxiety nor my touch aversion allow for one, but I love how they look)

Also weirdly finding a face clock way better for time management, like 13.47 feels a long way away from 14:00 and therefore Heaps Of Time while Hand Pointing To Nearly 2 is much more of a "girl you have to get a move on" signal
@stavvers I am old(and old fashioned) and have always preferred analogue wristwatches and would really like cheap mechanical ones to become available again.

@stavvers Getting a Smartwatch was a huge life changer for me. In addition to time, it also tells me when my next meeting is, and how warm it is outside. The watch face can basically show anything I want to quickly look up, but without the distraction that a phone would have.
