I'm a little nervous about side effects

There are roughly 3 billion basepairs in the human genome, and we know that maybe 10% are critical, in that an edit would have some effect

so this base editor has to have an error rate of ~~ < 1 in 300 million

which is unheard of for a chemical reaction

not sure this is real or not, but this sort of problem has gotten a LOT Of discussion among scientists
