Among the nuggets unearthed here: Trump ordered director, Jay Bhattacharya, to cut research funding to -- apparently without regard to merit, topic, DEI, antisemitism, or any other excuse previously floated. Bhattacharya refused. So Trump intervened to put NIH funding under the control of political appointees, as if Bhattacharya were not already a political appointee.
