The sad truth is we have a clearer picture of infectious diseases in the indigenius tribes of Amazonia than in most states in the continental USA.
And now CDC has been incapacitated by presidential decree, the expertise the US used to export is being lost too.

G - if i may say so, this propublica article is not good cause it fails, far as I can tell, to link to the CDC page which is the source of all measles statistics

I think the article is also a little remiss in note noting that the 1989/91 outbreak was ~~ 10x worse then the 25/26 outbreak
