Eberle studied Physics and received his PhD for a thesis conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems. In 2003 he joined GM and Opel. He was one of the founders of the European Union "Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking". As member of the "VDA Task Force E-Mobility", Eberle was involved into setting up the German National Platform E-Mobility. His current work at Stellantis focuses on technologies and strategies on automated driving and smart mobility.
