My Dad taught me about staying fearless, even when you feel terrified.
My Dad taught me about never feeling shame, when you're fighting for human rights/dignity to life.
My Dad taught me, our voices do matter.
My Dad taught me, when laws are unjust - you break them, for humanity's sake.
My Dad taught me, they can terrify but they can't steal your soul unless you grant permission.
My Dad taught me, it's womanly to stand up strong for your family & the world would collapse without women being respected.
My Dad taught me, all the money in the world, cannot make you a better person if you are hurting innocent people to get more money.

My Dad - he taught me so many lasting life lessons.

I miss my Dad so much. I hold on to all the life lessons he taught me. I try my best to do him proud & to live by what he taught me.

@PhoenixSerenity I especially think this part is true - "it's womanly to stand up strong for your family & the world would collapse without women being respected."

I wish more people revered women.

@darrenmorin I'm sure glad my Dad taught me that lesson very well before he died. My Dad was a feminist & antifascist. He was arrested a few times in his university years for organizing big protests in Saigon before full US invasion. I'll share more about my Dad's life experiences in Saigon & South Vietnam, when I'm ready to share more.
