Well the masked Singer was supposed to be on tonight and I think it is still coming on, but some NASCAR thing is on right now and I’m not sure When it’s supposed to end so I think I’ll just watch it in the morning.

Heh. In a nutshell, NASCAR is a 1950s hobby gone commercial just to get shade tree mechanic children off the streets. Dad would get a new car and the teen boy would get a hand-me-down when he got to be driving age and when you had a city full of teen boys learning how to tweak this & that while viewing every other boy as competition, you'd have a city full of Rebels Without A Cause multiplied by every city in the union...except in the South where this was preceded by the Shine Running Era, and the objective was to outrun the constabulary both local and federal.

Once it got commercialized under NASCAR, you're now looking at family traditions accompanied by their non-relative aspirants/admirers. It's now a traditional Fans Only kind of thing.
