    Asked the teens to pick a film and weirdly they went for Conclave (which I've wanted to watch for a while). I thought it was good. Despite my children being really fucking annoying. At one point one of them misheard one of the Cardinals names as 'Cardinal John Pork' and the film was basically done for them from that moment on. And the more cross I got about not being able to hear the film over them laughing, the worse I made it. They made a valiant effort a couple of times to get back into it but then one would catch the others eye and it was all over again. Idiots. I quite enjoyed the film. Beautifully shot if you're into that sort of thing. Although I have a complicated relationship with religion. It's not that complicated but let's say that so I seem enigmatic or whatever. But there's something sort of 'apology porn' about that setting. Like who can be the most penitent.

    No I'm sorry. No *I'm* sorry. No I feel TERRIBLE you simply MUST forgive me. No no no. You are amazing and it is I who is the terrible one I cannot apologise enough. No I am the sorriest, you cannot begin to even conceive of my ocean of sorrow for the perceived slight I hath made.

    God up there thinking get over yourselves. But it was an interesting commentary on the state of the church and the wider world and I liked the ending a bit. Bet it ruffled a few feathers. Silly old church. I'll bet they were all furious and then couldn't stop apologising about it.

      @TheBreadmonkey

      I loved the cameo from Dawn French.
