I'm so excited about this weekend. I have now decided to come out to my aunt (not blood-related, but the high school best friend of my mom) as agender. She is the final person I have not yet done so but very much wish to.
She is a boomer, so is possible to have more conservative or sheltered views. Still, I feel she will be happy for my discovery of better understanding myself, if not interested in knowing more. I also feel safe with her, as she has always been there, has always been accepting, and has never let me down.
Any good mojo is greatly appreciated!

@jaycee Yeah, I cringed on using an age label and meant it in the best possible way, but was trying to use shorthand in describing her possible life outlook.
Thank you so much for saying all you did, John! This gives me such hope that I'm indeed making the right choice, and might even strengthen a strong family relationship with her by sharing the real me.

@AncTreat5358 No worries on the age label. I find all labels offensive, while accepting that those labels can be helpful to many. Getting old is a privilege denied to so many, and is (for now at least) better than the alternative! 🫂

My aunt has been sick for several days, so we had to postpone my agender coming out last weekend to her...to today! Fingers crossed it goes as well as I think it will, based on how she has been with me over the decades.
