#HenrysThoughts@transience I was dual booting for awhile, but then Windows borked my entire computer, and I realised I can have a functional Mint up and running in <1 hour versus hours, days of getting Windows going again plus dual booting. It's been close to 3 years now, and I have no plans of going back to Windows. So

@reallyflygreg I’m really leaning hard in that direction, because Windows bonked my computer too half a year ago… Just making sure I really like it before I switch the hard drive.

@transience that's fair. I played with multiple distros on test machines for years before I made the plunge. Even then it was dual booting. I only punted Windows because it was too much work to bother with it anymore, and I really like Mint. There's others though that might even be better for you depending on your needs. I understand Zorin is good for those still needing to keep a foot in the Windows world.

@reallyflygreg @transience I was looking forward to a steam machine for SteamOS. Sadly the gobble gobble of AI companies may make Valves desire untenable.
