I've posted these before but I was appreciating them again in the early morning sunlight today.

@dillyd we put my wife's great grandmother's quilts on a cool quilt ladder next to one on display on the wall. We rotate every once in a while.

@dukepaaron
That's an excellent idea. I am running out of walls and I do have more in storage bins. -

@dillyd there's a technical term for this but I can't remember it. (You get the same effect if you /say/ the same word too many times in a row.)
@transitionalaspect @dillyd that doesn't only work in semantics: look at a person's nose for an extended time and you will notice what a grotesque organ that is ^^

@transitionalaspect sometimes it helps, when a person tries to exert some kind of dominance you don't think they (should) have

It's an interesting story too. My great great grandma was quite poor. My great grandma, her daughter, pretended to have paying customers for these crocheted bedspreads, which she was actually paying for herself, as a way to get her mom to take the money. She would have refused payment on a bedspread for her own grandchildren. -

LAWDSY I wish I had the pattern for the one on the left. -
@dillyd I'm so glad you don't have them just tucked away in storage! They're marvelous.
