I was calling this out when Apple first launched AirPods. Why would having wireless buds be a preferable experience to, you know, literally anything else?

The average runtime of my pair of Galaxy Buds 2s are about 2-3 hours of continuous use before I have to put them back into their clamshell to let them recharge, which takes about 30 minutes each time.

Meanwhile, I'm using a Sony WH-CH520 on-ear pair of Bluetooth headphones that has a physically larger battery due to not being as constrained by size. You know what that means? I get a wireless pair of headphones for a third the price of the Galaxy Buds/AirPods that has a runtime of literal days before requiring charging.

How are the wireless buds superior again?

@foxyloon tfw I still use wired earbuds. Infinite playtime, very compact, does not need separate charging. Unfortunately my current phone, a Fairphone 5, doesn't have a headphone jack anymore (baffling that specifically Fairphone followed this move), but that's nothing a lil' dongle can't fix.
