          @vitalis the core thing is just that anglicanism is the first instance of people doing a lot of christianity in english so the rest of english language christianity is kinda playing in the sandbox of stuff early anglicanism set up to some degree be it in agreement or contradiction

            @vitalis this isnt to say that anglicanism was like independent an everyone else started stealing (it works in the first place bc its the same religion) just more that the church as a whole has always been in conversation with itself and anglicanism has been having that conversation in english earlier than most

                    @SleepyCat @vitalis they used middle english starting out so theyd definitely sound a bit different but im actually really curious which translation holy ghost first shows in bc i can find stuff about its use in the kjv but there were other bible translations before that (TEC only stopped using the coverdale psalter in the 1979 BCP)
