Is the current Conservative Party of Canada (#CPC) more right-wing than the PC Party of Brian Mulroney?

When was the last time the conservative party supported environmental legislation, let alone pass any, or sign on to any environmental treaties?

Their environmental policy now is "drill baby drill or you're a communist".

Their platform now can be reduced to "starve the beast", as in tax cuts, service cuts, and privatization. That's it.

@mpjgregoire I have friends who have been PC supporters for years. Still support NS PC but now don't support CPC. They feel Reform Party is now dominant in CPC & in party's effort to block Bernier went too far to the right. Trudeau was a deal breaker for them but they are comfortable with Carney.

@mpjgregoire creating culture wars based in disinformation is neither left nor right. But it is right leaning parties that use that tactic to “recruit” voters because they know that pure right wing won’t win.

Mulroney created many national parks and protected areas (as Canadians want), the maple maga cons now do the opposite.

Mulroney acted against air pollution and acid rain, the maple maga coms are scheming to eliminate pollution regulations because they deny climate change as their oil overlords tell them.

Mulroney was anti-aparthied, the maple maga cons are more akin to neonazis.

Mulroney almost outlawed abortion, the maple maga will succeed if they get power.
