    i used to think content warnings were the best way for #mastodon users to protect themselves from concerning content (which could be anything, #politics, #bigotry, horror media, etc)

    but @Yehuda made the case that #filters and adjusting the settings are the best way to do this, and it really has changed how i use mastodon 👍. if you want to do the same for yourself, i suggest going to yehudas profile and looking at the guide he posted that shows how to do this

    i'd also like to say that before, i used to be dubious of making lists, but ive changed my mind on that and now have a few lists curated around interests of mine. this helps on days when i'd rather focus on things like art and memes instead of news and politics, and i hope it helps others too 🫂
