Includes MathCAT built in, improvements to speech, spelling errors, OCR, Braille, highlighter, add-on virus scan results, new languages & more!
Fixes for language not supported error, LibreOffice, Outlook, screen reader web content, malformed links in Chrome
Notes:
- Only 64-bit Windows 10 & 11 are now supported
- Add-ons for 2025.x & earlier are incompatible -

@shawnak Yes, that is what we generally encourage. Don't install the beta, but create a portable copy from it, then you can run it, test out the fixes and new features, and know you can always go back to your previously installed copy.

@jonathan859 Yes you just download the version from the announcement - https://www.nvaccess.org/post/nvda-2026-1beta1/ - and when you run it, don't choose "install" but instead choose "Create portable copy" - we wrote a little about it in our blog awhile back: https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-21st-december-2023/#portable
