Bit uncomfortable with everyone calling the victim a lesbian. She had three kids and two (?) ex-husbands. Surely she's bi or pan and people are just erasing part of her even after her death? To be fair, I don't know, she didn't tell me. Maybe she id'd as a lesbian.
Of all the things, obviously it's a bit of a way down the list in terms of the horrors. But the right is also using it as some kind of justification. Ignoring that she was a widow to a serviceman, because that doesn't fit their agenda and rhetoric. So maybe it is important, too, that we don't pigeonhole her so tightly.

@noodlemaz I have kind of the image that for many people, especially on the right, there is only the straight-gay dualism.Bi or pan or others just don't exist in their world.
Bi erasure is a thing.

@noodlemaz Laura Loomer criticised Good for having pronouns set in the pronoun field of her Instagram bio. The bar for justification couldn't get lower

@noodlemaz Unfortunately it's standard practice after the American authorities murder someone. When this fails to stem the outrage, they'll undoubtedly start leaking chunks of any information on her they have, from speeding tickets to late library books, I'm sure someone will even release her deceased husband's files to use as a cudgel. Heck, they've even gone over the tourism related stickers on her car window and tried to claim they're anarchist groups.
The mainstream US media will have settled on lesbian as they've deemed anything other than the LG part of LGBTQ+ too scary and confusing for their audience and the right have had guys like Rush demonizing lesbians as aggressive for decades so that works for them too, unfortunately in both cases.

@pare as a bi person, I know! One reason I can't was thinking about it.
