@apricote @hetzner Hell yeah, and unfortunately direly needed :'D
There's a lot on our Hetzner-Wishlist and I bet you are aware of those aspects, and I'm stoked to see there's commitment to improve the people power behind that!
- uploading "standardized" machine images (instead of using packer-plugin-hcloud or ISOs),
- tracking the actually running OS-image in terraform (we don't use any of the Hetzner provided ones so this property is always misleading),
- delegating subdomains as separate zones to different projects (or is this actually possible, the old/new docs are a bit confusing here) -

Subdomain delegation they refuse to do due to security reason (quoting the support). I found someone that claims hosting the full zone and just use the subdomain records works. But I could not confirm that myself yet.

Would love to see an API to upload images instead of the workarounds that are required right now. I use Flatcar for my own servers, and it's always a pain to upload a new image. I wrote https://github.com/apricote/hcloud-upload-image/ to make it more manageable for myself.
What do you mean with the "actually running OS-image in terraform"? The hcloud_server.image attribute should contain the actual image ID if you use a custom snapshot.

I am with you, and I hope that this will become more transparent this year with the *EU Pay Transparency Directive* coming into effect.
But I am not involved in this at my company, so I can not directly help you today.

We used hcloud-uploader before
but the images get quite large (as they are the full disks) so a restore is quite slow. What I got working recently is "dd-install" via rescue mode.
https://github.com/tcurdt/dd-install
Allows me to install alpine/debian/nixos/... with a custom partition setup.
But it feels like an workaround. A proper API would be so much appreciated!

Apologies for the confusion. I honestly thought you were associated with Hetzner.
Either way, the main point stands: Not publishing the salary (or at least the salary range) along with the benefits in the ad this day and age is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!
It is an affront to workers and nobody should bother with companies that don't publish this information upfront.

@apricote @hetzner could you really not consider people from Belgium?
I would love to work in the context of eu sovereignty (and Hetzner is imho very important to that). I've been building automations for Telco services for a decade now, so this kind of tooling and integration work is what I know very well.
