The democratic party emails are kinda wild. I just got one that says: "you are not an ATM! you are probably tired of receiving solicitations for donations from candidates... This email is different."

they took me off lists after i kept responding "do something useful and substantive to stop the GOP takeover of our government first, then i'll think about giving the DNC money"...

@jerry Perhaps governments should be run like open source. But political parties are businesses and part of corporations.

Though I do get some republican solicitations (I guess because of my demographics) and some of them are sort of alarming, like the one that basically said “donate or we may have to send ICE after you” whereas democrats are asking “please donate today so we can keep doing nothing”
