Been up all night with friends going through the unpleasantly long lists of infosec people in the Epstein Files.

@grrrr_shark @hacks4pancakes And THATS when you are most vulnerable to it. I did it. Felt like a moron afterward.
@hacks4pancakes @FeloniousPunk yup. If you don't think you're vulnerable, you're already fucked.

Been up all night with friends going through the unpleasantly long lists of infosec people in the Epstein Files. Yikes, guys. I knew some of them were pieces of shit, already - but too many other people fell for a transparent bid to illegitimatize elections, and I said so then.

️
@hacks4pancakes But in what context are they mentioned?
As in they one time went to an event hosted by/involving Epstein, or as in they were (allegedly) complicit in his crimes, or something in-between?Is this the latest dump of files or the older ones?
Thanks

In slightly related topic, in the latest dump, there was a report from an informant claiming Epstein had a private hacker who also sold exploits to several governments: https://techcrunch.com/2026/01/30/informant-told-fbi-that-jeffrey-epstein-had-a-personal-hacker/
The name was redacted though and its unclear if the FBI was able to verify the informant's claims -

@hacks4pancakes @FeloniousPunk not to somehow indicate I think the fuckers on that list were innocent rubes, duped, mind you. Was just thinking about our community's hubris aloud.

God, having that conversation feels like yesterday. I was already feeling one billion years old when I told people not to fall for it and end up a patsy. It’s not some stupid CTF or CVE brag to try to outsmart actual dangerous criminals.

Cryptocurrency, infosec, and quantum computing were the big targets and definitely looking the worst.

The emails about them considering going to DEF CON (likely to build support for election distrust) are absolutely wild and good on the goons for making them uncomfortable. Always make pdfs uncomfortable.
