@hacks4pancakes that second one is impressive. I only have things like: disassembled an alkaline battery not realizing that those are pressurized, and did an unauthorized check of circuit functionality using a live 450V circuit and an ammeter alone in an emergency space.

@hacks4pancakes Growing up in a farm town and attending the local university, with a public scrapyard full of rust and a hardware store that sold powdered aluminum and magnesium tape, I am amazed that any of us lived long enough to graduate.

@mwl @hacks4pancakes We blew every fuse in the house with a stripped extension cord and a knife, we nearly blew up a gas station cleaning the inside of a car with a gas soaked rag, I nearly blew myself up trying to make naplam from gas and a styrofoam cup. And we were smart kids.

@hacks4pancakes Suddenly grateful that when I accidentally shocked myself with a camera flash capacitor twice at 15 I didn't need medical attention.
