Today we managed to pass a leaking old beaver dam that is now frozen to the ground.
Snowshoe-packed a trail further into the bush. Yodelled and the old chickadees found us (the families seem to have their territories). How did we know it was them?
They landed on us immediately
. And talked!
Happy to see they have survived another year. -
