Meet Molly. When my dad passed away she became our cat. Unfortunately, she’s been an outside cat for nearly a decade. When it’s 20 F out, I can manage to coax her inside. Luckily for us, she lived inside for a while when she was young and is fully house trained.
I’ve tried explaining multiple times that if she stayed inside all the time, she’d get all the pets she wants but she doesn’t want to listen.
