@sinituulia We do get a spaceship later on! It looks like a vacuum cleaner made love to an anteater.

@nausicaa Sort of a disproportionate amount, really
@sinituulia @nausicaa He's really good at it

@sinituulia I like the hologram of Frank Sinatra much more than I thought I would. He's not "trapped between two worlds", he's not angsty about being a hologram or trying to become "more human". He's just a guy who is all about helping other people be happy.

@iju @sinituulia I don't think they had Rom's arc planned, but rather it came naturally as Nog's arc evolved (and Nog arguably has the best arc in all of star trek). Rom really changes because of Nog, there's a very specific moment where Rom stands up for Nog joining star fleet which is his turning point. That entire turning point is setup entirely from Nog. It's one of my favorite moments in the show, Nog's courage inspires Rom to stand up for Nog, which in turn give Rom courage. Nog is awesome
@GabeMoralesVR @iju @sinituulia
There's certainly a lot that can be shown about how Rom fought through institutionalized concepts of his upbringing and learning to accept others through the medium of his own son and breaking a cycle he would have been stuck in. There can be some queer parallels in this realizing that one doesn't have to take familial abuse. Rom is big hearted enough, though, to continue to associate with his brother and even soften some of Quark's edges -

@sinituulia If you are interested in ANTIFA lizards, try out #Babylon5 for a while. Our policeman is also part-time liquid but gets sober in later seasons. Our captain tells the gods to fuck off and not interfere any more.

OMG, this made me laugh so hard. POPE KAREN.
I'm re-watching everything chronologically by star date, and I'm currently on season 3 of DS9 and season 1 of Voyager.

@Quantium40 G'Kar my beloved... I don't remember the spelling of everything but I did watch Babylon 5 growing up and then a lot after growing up too - when it aired in Finland and then via every single box set of everything dad bought since! I even named one of my cats at the time after a joke about vorlons...
It's been a while since the last rewatch, but. Wow did it stick with me.
