@Tamami Sorry if you actually had an appliance malfunction, but I had to laugh.

          ๐Ÿ˜… Ermergerd. I needed that.

I drove past the David Erickson Fine Art building yesterday and thought of you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Tamami Ours has been out for a while. It doesn't seem worth it to trash a working fridge to replace, we've been adding ice from the grocery store. So not frugal that I'm a little embarassed.

@eighthourlunch @Tamami A rare opportunity to be doubly virtuous. Make a statement against ICE and prevent one more piece of junk in the landfill.

Itโ€™s a shame that every artifact of modern life needs to be loaded up with redundant microprocessors and recently AI slop. Refrigerators used to be some of the most simple, cheap and rugged appliances around. Now theyโ€™re gaudy trinkets with stupid features that nobody asked for.

@TywyllSeren My good friends visited SLC for the first time in December, and asked me for some tips on places to visit. I told them to go to the Cathedral of the Madelaine... They (non-churchy people) loved it! I thought of you!

@davepolaschek Yes, we did actually have an appliance malfunction, but it somehow (drumroll!) "dissolved" itself! It's now working again. Still, #ICEOUT !

@eighthourlunch Is yours Samsung like ours? I hear that their ice makers are junk. But anyway, I was looking for those old-fashioned ice trays, aaand you guessed it, it started working again.

@michaelormsby @eighthourlunch I totally agree. Why is it that new kitchen appliances all have "Wifi?" I detest. But anyway, the ice maker started working again.
