#scotus@petergleick This is the ironclad proof that death camps are incoming, I think. If 33% of them are willing to side with state power against the unified interests of capital (frankly, against everyone's interests, but in this case this is also an unambiguous place where capital will hit back), then 66% of them are willing to allow the arbitrary cancellation of birthright citizenship, or any other form of human sacrifice. And given the intensity of the signals involved and the way the liberal justices have moved, if it isn't 6 to 3 it will probably be unanimous or with one dissent instead.

#scotus@petergleick I think the 6-3 is reputational damage control. The Biden HEROES verdict was 6-3. I think they’re very aware of the appearance of political leaning and want to indicate that they have 3 hard line leftists and 3 hard line conservatives. Of course that means that they have 3 moderates (who are clearly not moderate).
