    A packed day in the World Economic Forum in Davos focused on technology and security. 🇨🇭

    Meetings with technology companies and investors, a panel on European tech sovereignty, and interviews with CNBC, the Financial Times, and Reuters.

    Decision-makers must create stability now, not adding further uncertainty. It’s encouraging to see Europe attracting investment.

    @HennaVirkkunen …without turning it into the toxic wasteland of feudalism that the US is becoming?

      @HennaVirkkunen Many of us, EU citizens, fear the voices of technology companies you can hear at Davos are not aligned with our interests - at all.

        @HennaVirkkunen By all means, do continue publishing your updates in this network, and encourage your colleagues to do the same. This is a necessary step in reaching our much vaunted European digital sovereignty. Thank you!

          @HennaVirkkunen sovereignty, independence and freedom must always prevail on "attracting investment".

            @HennaVirkkunen
            May I suggest to adopt a totally European circuit, something like Visa but under UE umbrella, just to avoid blackmailing on UE citizens from US (we all have seen this despicable acts against Francesca Albanese).
            UE must not rely un US technologies even for the money exchange.

                  @katttivizzima @HennaVirkkunen also here a reuters article that explain less techically the goal : https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/eu-ministers-seek-agreement-digital-euro-be-independent-visa-mastercard-2025-09-19/

                  " European Union finance ministers on Friday agreed on a roadmap for launching a digital euro currency that aims to become an alternative to the now dominant U.S.-based Visa and Mastercard systems."

                    @HennaVirkkunen are people calling out the use of private jets to get there?
                    Anyone other than Rutger Bregman telling the greediest people they need to pay taxes and DO SOMETHING with their hoarded wealth?

                      @HennaVirkkunen Great, thank you. But don’t forget #grok #x must shut down. They are a thread to women and children. Oh, #eu banks and investors are deeply in #usa treasury. Reward investors who invest in #europe and #africa. Tax investments in #american treasure bonds.
