    '“We are part of one civilisation – Western civilisation,” he said.'

    I think we should bury the concept of "Western Civilization" - at the crossroads, and with a stake through its heart to be sure.

    Acknowledging that Europe and the USA have developed different cultures means that we can finally see each other - and ourselves - clearly.

      @juergen_hubert He speaks of #TESCREAL ideology which has nothing to do with culture. It is pure fascism and eugenics! He wants to *destroy* our culture! EU's Kallas gave him contra.

        @NatureMC

        By this point, I am convinced that any American pundit or political leader who walks about "Western Civilization" is actually talking about #WhiteSupremacy , whether they realize it or not.

          @juergen_hubert
          Western Civilisation isn't a single thing, though USA dominates English Language culture to an extent.

          Even single countries are less homogenous in culture, if we consider culture as a more definable term than Civilisation, which is nearly meaningless and Colonising countries from Ancient Rome have regarded themselves as Civilised and others as Barbarians. Julius Caesar lies about non-Romans.
          But Russia, Germany, England then USA copied Imperial aspects of Ancient Rome.

            I forget who it was when they were asked what they think of Western Civilization and they answered "I think it would be a good idea."
