Here in Europe, we ignore developments in Europe at our own peril.
A good friend of mine is a black woman from South Africa who lives in Germany and works in the medical sector. But whenever she talks up the African market at conferences, she gets routinely dismissed because "they couldn't afford our products anyway".

I work for a company that develops software for the energy sector. My department develops SCADA software - i.e. the software that controls power and utility grids.
