@catsalad@infosec.exchange In my nightmare they weren't a continuous loop, it was two synchronised spools, and it would inevitably have reached the end some time ago, leaving everyone drying their hands on the last two manky feet of towel.
This was still better than the Dyson Airblade. -

They were real! I discovered one in a bar maybe 20 years ago. At the time I wondered whether it was better or worse to wash my hands.

@jbaggs I don't see a problem with it in a home setting. it would definitely be more sanitary than a towel over a loop IMO

@jbaggs and I have to be real, if it wasn't sanitized correctly, then most hotels would also be unsanitary tbf

Some went from a spool to a roller and then got washed, so were OK, but I was at a campsite once with two ordinary towels stitched together around a couple of towel racks... -
