@DeliaChristina How recent are you looking for? (This is a rhetorical question, I only have the one suggestion) Chumbawamba is from the 90s but a lot of their music is very anti-authoritarian, like "The Day the Nazi Died" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSqUBwlHld4

    Broadly, post-war 20C onwards?

    Chumbawumba fits.

(in other words, while the Wobblies are commendable, their hymns are not what I'm seeking right now.)

      any recs?
(looking at you, the part of the fediverse with vinyl collections you haven't talked about in a while. now is your time to shine.)

@DeliaChristina some favorites from the last decade or two: Billy Bragg, Midnight Oil, Trotsky Icepick, Emmett Doyle, and the Dropkick Murphys.

@DeliaChristina Ska-P from Spain have been at it for almost 30 years. In many concerts they invite onto the stage the striking labor union of some cause near the venue.

@DeliaChristina Countercurrent randomly did a few labor songs on their most recent album that are pretty good ("I Am the Fox" and "Six Workers"):

@DeliaChristina Ooh, and how could we forget Grace Petrie! All of her stuff is great and fits the bill, but my personal favorite is "Fixer Upper:"

i'm looking for good *modern* anti-authoritarian, pro labor music.

(in other words, while the Wobblies are commendable, their hymns are not what I'm seeking right now.)

                                          any recs?
(looking at you, the part of the fediverse with vinyl collections you haven't talked about in a while. now is your time to shine.)

@DeliaChristina I think Asian Dub Foundation might fit.

Here's one of their songs, Power to the Small Massive
