Absolutely has and more than once. Sometimes the bridge of understanding is quite astonishing and... hmmm... yes, I think a 'wonderful' is justified

@Annacats I think it's a permanent state for me these days. My cats (both of them) like to ensure I don't get out of bed by sitting on me.
@enitharmon That sounds like their way of saying rest, we’ve got you.
A very devoted and very heavy kind of love.

@nigelharpur I agree, wonderful is exactly the right word.

Prompt : Has a cat ever been your anchor during a hard season?@Annacats Absolutely. During COVID I was having a difficult and emotionally trying time with work & life in general. We adopted our rescue cat Roscko, and just a couple of months after we brought him home I said this:
"I never imagined one day I would need an emotional support animal, but I'm glad I have you."

-
When I had a mental health crisis my cat wouldn't let me out of her sight, followed me everywhere and giving comfort cuddling up with me.

@nzlemming That says so much about the kind of bond you had with Gus 🤍. May their soul rest in peace

@darrenmorin That’s such a beautiful thing to say to him 🤭. There’s something really humbling about realizing the one you “rescued” ends up rescuing you too.🫶

@Ravimakes I’m really glad you had her in that moment. Sometimes their presence feels like a silent “you’re not alone,” and that can mean everything.

@ScruffyJunco Oh… Cortana sounds like she had the gentlest soul 🤍. Rest in peace

@Annacats I think I tell him "thank you" just about every day.
