I just watched a report about the paper industry in Germany and they had a small segment about paper made (partially) from grass.

I just watched a report about the paper industry in Germany and they had a small segment about paper made (partially) from grass. I have talked about this company before. Their products are stunning and so much more environmentally friendly. They use hay from grasslands along highways etc that can’t be used as feed. (1/2)

Mind boggling is normal paper needs 10.000 litres of water per ton of paper. Grass processing needs only 6-12 litres!! They can make paper with 30% grass right now that’s as good as normal paper. They are working on increasing the % of course. This is such a great use of the grass and also much cheaper.
Edited to add a link to their shop: https://www.graspapier.shopHere is an older video about the process in English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nftaqzvVW6o&feature=youtu.be (2/2)
