@EdwinG I was curious if Canada's definition of 'cold' was like we have and sure enough, it's definitely the 'screw this weather' case in our standards too. Been brisk -20 to -30C here lately.

@aamurusko79 It depends where in Canada. It doesn’t get very cold in southern BC and folk in the Toronto area can be quite the weather wimps. @EdwinG

@CStamp Yeah, Canada is a rather large country area-wise too, even the southmost points of Finland are close to being above the country-wide horizonal border of provinces.

@aamurusko79 Vancouver is yet to receive any snow this winter (it’s 9° there), meanwhile Montréal is having a relatively warm for this winter day (-14°).
And I think that we start issuing cold weather warnings (for Québec) when temperatures fall below -20° or wind chill below -30°
Both are way too cold for me!

@aamurusko79@CStamp 9° in February? Give me a bathing suit and I’m jumping into the Pacific!
Maybe with a first aid kit for hypothermia not too far away

@EdwinG I would be walking barefoot on the beach, wading in the surf.

@aamurusko79 Is that similar to the “polar bear swim”?

Some are crazy enough to do that.
Me: I would become a huge ice cube 🧊
