@kristiedegaris If you like King Creosote/Pictish Trail you might like him.

My favourite Scottish band are The Blue Nile. The sound of love.

@kristiedegaris "Mountains" is close to being a perfect song for me. It's brilliant.

@kristiedegaris I do the same 😁 Once the anthem-like chorus has nabbed you, it just doesn't let go.

@kristiedegaris Runrig are great too. Now retired but a good back catalogue. In my opinion, better when Donnie Munro was lead vocalist, but still great after he left.

Hopefully you will enjoy their music too.

@kristiedegaris the Proclaimers' lesser-known tracks are worth a shake
It's still a big one, but Letter To America is lovely

@kristiedegaris great list, love some King Creosote and Up the Biffy, course.

Young Fathers are a good shout too, if experimental hip hop appeals.

And of course, the grand-daddies of Postrock, Mogwai. They are on the list alongside Boards of Canada of “bands that are extremely Scottish but nobody seems to know it”.

@kristiedegaris a list that also includes Belle & Sebastian, something I shamefully hadn’t realised until recently 🫣.
