      @newsguyusa An mRNA flu shot is probably the only type which could be manufactured in significant quantity in a timely enough manner to avert mass death in a pandemic flu situation, like the one which still might happen from H5N1.

      The Spanish Flu reached it's month of maximum mortality around 7 months after it was first recognized as spreading in Kansas. That is a very tight time window and the world is far more efficient at accelerating pandemics with air travel these days.

          @newsguyusa

          They really want to kill as many people as possible during the next pandemic. Always wear your masks.

            @newsguyusa how long before they set up shop in more "friendly" countries? R&D money and researchers coming up with new medicines that they will charge the US huge amounts assuming the brain worm allows it.

              @Infoseepage @newsguyusa Hopefully other countries will evaluate this vaccine and decide to use it to protect their populations. Perhaps Moderna might consider moving their research to a better location? The EU, Canada, India etc who welcome science and research.

                @newsguyusa hopefully this is where states coming together, and forming their own coalitions to support research and accessibility, and not being idiots pays off?

                    @HarriettMB @newsguyusa @michael_w_busch Going to be really awkward if H5N1 becomes spread efficient and deadly in humans and the rest of the world gets vaccinated like six months ahead of the US because of this petulant anti-science nonsense.
