@blogdiva they remind me of the same 3 photos from the 60s-70s of young women in skirts in Kabul/Tehran/Baghdad that get trotted out to tell us it was better when those places were run by West approved dictators.
Those photos were of rich Iranian elites. They didn't represent the average Iranian. So those photos mean nothing and yes are used by all sorts of nonsense agendas that ultimately mean nothing but that people can't understand context and can be fooled easily

@blogdiva I think that's the clear problem. Running out of water. From what I've read it is disastrous. It's either death by regime or death by lack of water.
I was also reading that they have a massive corruption/oligarch problem who are looting the country.
The lack of water is leading to a reckoning because the govt is inflexible in fixing the issues. If they don't solve the water problems (they've been warned for years) Iranians are going to die.
