      @hadon

      Isn't this situation kind of proving the point? People who hated the 2A apparently firmly believed that tyranny could never happen in the US. Yet here we are.

      The 2A is for all Americans, not just the right. If you think this is tyranny, you know what you need to do.

        @Hardhead13

        That was the mentality centuries ago when democracies didn't exist yet.
        That's not the democratic way. To defend a Democracy we can start by defending its institutions by using the democratic paths.

          Soap box, voting box, ammo box... use in that order.

          I guess in a few years we'll see if Trump's respect for democratic institutions measures up to his respect for the constitutional limitations on the power of his office.

            @Hardhead13 @hadon Jury box before ammo. This allows the public to directly state that the laws are unjust, or that the accusation was false.

            Example is the sandwich throwing case, rebuked by the jury for bringing it as a felony, and eventually decided on not guilty.

              Yeah, that should be in there too. The jury box is where "jury nullification" can happen, and that's an important safeguard.

              Although the legal system seems to hate it for some reason. The fastest way to get excluded from a jury is to give any sign that you know what that term means.
