Every year, the fur grows in darker, like a Siamese cat. I've also noticed the edges of her ears are now lined with grey.

Nine is still middle age for a wolf dog, maybe 45-50 in human terms? They have hybrid vigor and live longer. She's just getting her first grey hairs this year, like I am
Her mum is now 18!
