Yes, Mastodon has problems and problem people. That's because there's people on it. Have you met people?

I'm not sure how there would ever be a thing involving people that wouldn't have problems.

@billyjoebowers very true. Are people sure they ever want a life without problems, can such a thing be called life? With any luck one chooses the problem sthey like to have, those you can’t choose will find you anyway.

@dingodog19 @billyjoebowers I am the other way, in general. The individuals are, by and large, adorable. Somehow we go wrong collectively

@billyjoebowers I recently found an unattributed quote in my notes that went something like β€œThe only time things can go wrong is when you do something involving people or technology.”

            Yes. People suck.

            But they’re also pretty amazing.

@billyjoebowers people suck. Unfortunately, I’m not sure the alternative is better.

@mwyman @billyjoebowers No better. Being alone is the path to insanity. But having small groups of like minded ppl (common interests) that align also in other ways, like ethics, can do the trick.

@mwyman @billyjoebowers sucking people is alright. But there's a certain level of intimacy required.
