@jmcrookston It's one of those things I accept as a fact of reality, but don't understand. At all. Incomprehensible.
Even the basic non-billionaire garden variety neighbour has shockingly low moral standards. And zero social responsibility if it inconveniences them in the slightest. -

Even the basic non-billionaire garden variety neighbour has shockingly low moral standards. And zero social responsibility if it inconveniences them in the slightest.@jmcrookston @penpencilbrush yep, it continues to shock me no matter how many times I'm disappointed.
And then every once in awhile I find myself doing something I generally consider immoral and justifying it to myself and it's a realization.
But overall I think that's individualism - when I'm responding to an individual, I feel my individualistic, maybe less morally coherent, response is appropriate. When I think of it in a wider cross generational context I continue to think acting as if everyone in the world has morals has value. -

I'm not even the slightest bit curious to find out more about those kinds of people.
