What the fuck are the floor to ceiling glass walls between the bedroom and the bathroom about.

Who the fuck wants to have to take a shit with an audience?

@Gina point taken on the shower head, but I can't wet shave my face without space on the sink or a mirror either... it is indeed a male design but also just very bad. I dare you to find a 3 star hotel!

@Remittancegirl @Gina @egonw in France I've viewed that as a mark of a hotel specifically catering to people having affairs. And in a sense they're doing more than their part to end affairs, non?

@Gina I know a hotel where they apparently forgot to add a toilet during the design phase, so they added it later - in the middle of the room

@Gina It's clear that people who design hotels have never stayed a night in one. The people running the hotel are often not much better. "You want us to send up someone to clean the bathroom?" "No, I want you to fix it so it doesn't flood everytime I shower".

Back in the day (in the *cough* 90s *cough*) a small German hotel chain had all-glass shower cabins as a bulge from the bathroom into the middle of the room (like some elevator cabin, but round). They were spectacular and incredibly futuristic. And I guess these are the keywords here...

It would never be considered a 4 star hotel here.

@daltux it shouldn't be here either. I take it they have some amenities somewhere, but I've stayed in nicer rooms in hostels.

It wasn't designed with disability in mind either. No hand rails, no hand held shower head, and I'll bet there's a step into that shower.

@Gina ditto male kitchen designers. Most of them clearly don't cook and see their job as selling as many units as possible. So many kitchens with tonnes of storage and little useful worktop space to prepare food.
