An additional element of this attack may be that if a significant number of people block (from inside or outside the YT system) an impersonator, that may be interpreted as unwillingess to view similar content i.e. the original being impersonated, downgrading their ranking. Not sure to what degree this would work, though.@electropict @randahl For that to be feasible the algorithm would have to be assuming from the beginning that the content was bogus. I.e. Google would be saying “Oh, this person likes or doesn’t like fake AI slop, hang on whilst I get some more”

These channels often use hyper-realistic AI news anchors to report on fabricated major news events or promote scams, exploiting public trust

Did you also inform Paul Warburg?
I stumbled across some fake Glenn Kirschner channels about 3 weeks ago and wrote to Kirschner (via bsky)
I think this is the fastest possibility, to inform the real people. They need to take action too.
Nonetheless I reported the fake Paul Warburg now too.
