@st3phvee I've said goodbye to many cats in my lifetime. One of the sweetest cats I've ever had (Dave) made it to just over 20. And I can't even remember how many kittens have died on me over almost 20 years of fostering. You'd think after all of that I'd be numb to it, but not a chance, this slightly older middle aged guy still cries over every one. And that's because I give them everything I have to give for the time I have with them. I know you've done the same, and I'm sure Mr B knows it.

@bbsmooth Thanks for sharing. I hope that Mr. B will live as long as Dave (fantastic name, BTW -- I love it when cats have human names), as he's still in relatively good shape ... but as you know, things can change rapidly, especially at this age.

@st3phvee Sending best wishes to you and Mr. B. How wonderful that the two of you have had 15 years together, and I hope he does well enough that you have some *more* good years together. I'm glad Mr. B has you to care for him and comfort him, making his days and nights so much better.

Also: Who among us is *ever* ready to deal with saying goodbye to the cats who've been a major part of our lives for so long?
