Absolutely. It is to terrorize and punish blue states.
What angers me the most beyond the deaths is that the Trump WH and DHS has no exit strategy. These horrific people simple thought they would come into a blue state and bash heads if there was resistance.
Vance was pathetic the other day. There were aspects of the Tough Guy act that we see from Noem and others, but there was something else. Someone said that he is understanding that his chances in 2028 are directly tied to Trump. I agree. He knows that if Trump's numbers fall too far, the door opens for a Hawley. He comes to MN because there is no exit strategy except to try to get MN to back down. Just let ICE do their job, he says.
They have no exit strategy. MN is not backing down, and if they decide to pull ICE, the Trump WH has to be thinking the withdrawal will only empower the next blue state targets.

@Hey_Beth The exit strategy is martial law. The only way another republican ascends to the office is if Trump appoints them as proxy (think Medvedev) or Trump dies. The only way a democrat ascends to the office is by force of arms or if Trump dies. That sounds hyperbolic but I think that's where you're at.
