@AlisonCreekside Conveniently Ontario conservatives held a convention this weekend as well. Leaving only western conservatives, was Poilievre’s lead nothing more than the UCP voicing their federal preference? Funny how Ontario’s absence is left unmentioned?

"Poilievre will challenge cost of living issues"@pinhman @AlisonCreekside Drug Fraud has been gunning for the leadership of the CPC for sometime. It’s no coincidence that PP, faced the possibility of defeat in his riding had increased *after* Ontario PC volunteers surged into his riding, “to support him”.

@AlisonCreekside no one mentions that he had no competition. He ran alone. Against nobody. He chose who could attend that convention. And still, couldn't get more than 87%of those present - who all had to pay $1000 for the opportunity to attend!

@lowies I think the goal achieved here was to get a very slightly higher approval rating than Harper did in the same situation bc Harper also lost an election but the returned to win a majority.
Also never mentioned is that political parties are private clubs and can fuck about with their own rules all they like. -

Also never mentioned is that political parties are private clubs and can fuck about with their own rules all they like.a goal achieved would be for media to point out that this "win" was a fabrication. It was not epic, in reality, and I'm already tired of hearing it reported in that light
