Youth sports is now a $40 BILLION industry. $50 tryouts. $3,000 teams. $8,000++ a year. Parents are told: pay more = elite athlete.
But studies say early specialization hurts performance and fuels injuries. Turns out the kids aren’t the product — parents are.
