Experimented with some cheap watercolors to dip my toes into traditional media. Too much chaos! I am through and through a fan of digital art.

@joyousjoyness More expensive materials will yield more fun results. Just...not to say you'll love traditional art but good paper and a good watercolor are so different than the cheap stuff. Watercolor is the most sensitive on this front. The fun techniques require the right paper.

Its still cool to prefer digital.

@joyousjoyness fyi, I'm pretty sure I have the paints you're using and they are just not easy to work with.

It isn't precisely watercolor but I adore Kuretake's paint palettes. They are wonderful to work with and mid range on price if you get an older set vs whatever is recently released. Its my favorite thing for just practicing because it is less fussy than actual watercolor.

@joyousjoyness These actually look pretty fun! Aside from all the realities of paints & pigments & hardcore paper, one aspect of watercolor is that you will either learn to play with it, or you you can paint it dry to manage it more, and it's a lot of experimentation, which can be I guess a little horrifying, but it also can be very delightful and surprising!
