Good morning all.

Good morning all. I am seriously hoping today is the day they will let me go home. My blood pressure has been all over the place. They weren't happy yesterday when it was 79/45, and even less happy when it went down to 42. Last night I got a 72, meaning the lower number, so that is more what it normally is. I'm feeling fine except that my lower back in particular is really uncomfortable because of the steroids. Sleep was a rather scarce commodity last night. I think my own bed will fix this. It fixes nearly anything else.

@Lisasali Wow! BP that low and you're still breathing. Mine runs low but wow! Hope you can go home but don't rush it if things still are not right.

@Lisasali Hugs. Sorry I’ve been away for a minute and didn’t know you were in the hospital. Sending prayers.

@baxaphobia it's so weird, because even when it was that low, I felt perfectly fine. Maybe I wouldn't have if I were up and walking, but I can't picture that it only went that low when they were actually testing it. So, I guess I will see what the person in the white coat has to say about it all this morning.

@technocounselor thanks. There were complications from a simple surgery, and I ended up with the beginnings of sepsis. At the time I came in, I had no idea how sick I really was. Because I have long Covid, I let day after day a fever and fatigue go by until it got bad enough that I realize this was something different.

@Lisasali Oh my gosh. It’s sometimes hard to know when to go into the hospital. I can understand that.

@Lisasali Do they have you wearing one of those things that measures your blood pressure every 20 minutes or something, or do they come in and do it from time to time? Would you have known yourself that it was low if they hadn't told you? i guess I'm wondering if it could have been fluctuating for a while because of long Covid? Anyway I hope all bodily systems are on their best behavior soon and you can go home to your own bed.
