    The "Red Star" train, left rusting in an old train repair depot in Hungary. It was removed a few years ago; who took it and where it is now remains a mystery!

    It is a MAV-424 Series steam locomotive, a well-known and nostalgic Hungarian machine. These double-chimneyed beasts were often nicknamed “The Buffalo”.

    This specific engine was built in the 1940s. Some sources suggest it was in service until 1991.
